This book introduces a comprehensive meteorological satellite data in weather and climate forecasting applications, the purpose is to help forecasters improve weather station's ability to use satellite data, and thus make more accurate weather forecasts. The main contents include satellite imagery in weather analysis and forecasting; satellite precipitation estimation; OLR application; radiation brightness temperature (TBB) in the generation and application; satellite atmospheric sounding data (TOVS) generation and application; sea surface temperature in the generation and application and theory of cloud motion winds generated calculation.
